2011

We ended 2010 by finishing most, but not all of our goals. Here are our goals for 2011:

AKC - In 2010 we qualified for Nationals, got all but one QQ needed for MACh 2! Our goals for 2011 are pretty much the same, qualify for Nationals, finish MACh 2, work towards MACh3.

USDAA - IN 2010 we didn't finish our Performance 2 Versatility (Advanced) title so that is our goal for 2011. Plus work towards our P3 (Masters) titles.

NADAC - 2011 - Keep on working on that distance stuff & try Chances more often.

TDAA - 2011 - Mom will be trial secretary for a couple TDAA trials in 2011 so I'll get to play teacup agility again, yippee! Will work towards TACh2.

Hearing Dog Training - We didn't take the public access test in 2010, so I hope I get to take it in 2011. Need to work on the smoke alarm more and the "where" part of the alert. Hopefully graduate!

Mom says there are some BIG changes coming in 2011. I have no idea what she's talking about. I sure hope it doesn't involve me. I don't like changes.

Wishing you lots of cookies in 2011!

2010

Wow. It's been over a year since I last wrote in my blog!! I can't believe all the stuff I got to do in 2010. It was a fun year! Let's see, I think the most fun I had was making it to the finals of the TDAA Petit Prix National Tournament. It was held right here in Washington, at my most favorite place to compete - Argus Ranch! I got to do lots of AKC agility, plus some NADAC, USDAA, and TDAA agility too. Once again Mom says I have to write this stuff down so she doesn't forget it all. What would she do without me.

NADAC - We didn't do much NADAC in 2010. I think my biggest accomplishment in this venue is that I'm finally starting to catch on to that distance thing. I didn't get any Chances Q's, but I did get the gamble two times! I figured out that when Mom says "GO" that means to go AWAY from her. She's very proud of me!

USDAA - I only got to do 3 USDAA trials, one was the NW Regional, that was fun! I finished my performance 2 (advanced) standard title, got Q's in P2 Pairs (with Pearl again!) and P2 Jumpers. I even got a first place in one Performance Grand Prix round. Now all I need to be in P3 (Masters) in everything is one Q each in P2 Gamblers & Snooker, yay!

TDAA - This was the most FUN year for TDAA. The Petit Prix, the TDAA national competition, was held right here in Washington at Argus Ranch! I did great, got 2nds & 3rds in a lot of the preliminary rounds and made it to the finals! The final run was the game Super Dog. Mom had not studied this game very much so she wasn't as focused as she should have been (bad mom!). Her plan had me doing the teeter 3 (THREE!!) times! What was she thinking! She KNOWS I don't like the teacup teeter! Well we ran Super Dog, and of course by the third time I had to do the teeter I said "that's enough" and bailed. But fortunately we had enough points by then to qualify. At the awards ceremony we found out we got 7th place! Mom knows I could have done better but it was all her fault for making me do the teeter so much. Seventh place really wasn't bad when you consider there were a LOT of dogs in the 8" class. The most of all the heights. We got a cool ribbon & Mom got a neat finalist shirt.
THEN in December we did another teacup trial and I got the last standard Q I needed to finish my teacup championship! So now I'm known as TACh Jolie!! Yay! We got a really cool ribbon & bar. I also finished my TMAG3 title, that means I have over 30 Q's in the Games 3 class! I love the games!

AKC - this was and still is Mom's favorite venue, and mine too since she likes it so much! We ended the qualifying year with 12 double Q's and 774 points, thus qualifying for Nationals again. This is the third year I've qualified for Nationals. Mom said we can't go this time, it's in Virginia and too far away. Maybe next time. I really surprised Mom in AKC. She is always just happy to be able to run me, no matter what happens. The 8" class has gotten very very competitive. There are a lot of new dogs running, most of them paps, some of them are FAST and Mom knows we won't always end up in the ribbons, just qualifying is a gift! Well I was really nice and decided to give Mom the gift of placement ribbons in 2010. We even got quite a few firsts in both standard & jumpers! She was ecstatic! Even our agility classmates have commented on how well we are running as a team, things are really meshing for us. It's been so fun, I love it when Mom is happy because that makes me happy & I love running agility when we're both happy! Oh, btw, all those placement ribbons - Mom has been putting them back in the box. She says I have way too many already. Plus some of the clubs are donating money to a dog charity each time you put your ribbon back! Is that great or what?
My biggest AKC news is that I ended the year needing just one (1!!) double Q to finish MACh 2.

My name at the end of 2010 is:
MACh TACh Jolie Reve de Paragon CGC, TDI, OF, EAC, EJC, TN-O, TG-O, WV-O, HP-N, TMAG3, PD1, PS2

So that was the best of 2010! Here's hoping to more fun in 2011!
